After cutting out a square for a house shape, we discussed the basic shapes that go along with a house: squares or circles for windows, a triangle for a roof, a rectangle for a chimney. Then, in the background we brainstormed ideas of mountains, cities, and people or animals. The kids seemed very happy with the houses they 'designed". :)
