I brought in bags of Fall apples this week for various grades to use in their artwork! Each student had an apple on their desk, and were instructed to look at the individual details of their apple:colors, weird shapes, dots, shadows, lines. They could draw multiple apples after they did one, and made up a still life background to go with it. After looking at Cezanne still lifes, students sat their apples on tables, in baskets, in kitchens...they were very creative!
