4th Grade: Adinkra symbols from Ghana

Students chose a few symbols that represented their personality. They then etched them into an oil pastel paper.

2nd grade: Candy Land landscape

I used the artist Hunderwasser as inspiration for these landscapes. His trees look like lolly pops, so I used "candy land" as the analogy to use in presenting the project to the 2nd graders. I really love where their minds went with these.

5th Grade contrasting colors paintings

Students created a design or simple scene, and used constrasting colors as their paint palette. I also had a 5th grader take some of these photos. She did great! Thanks Iyanna!
